Question: hi my g/f is 14 and on new years she is planning on getting drunk. now im not a goody goody but if she gets caught ill never be able to see her again. my parents are against stuff like that! now i told her it might effect our relationship but she doesnt seem to care.
what should i do?
ANSWER: Your parents are right to be against it, and so are you. Don’t be with her if and when she does it. If she has alcohol with her on a date, you should end the date.
Many important health reasons make it real important that people at 14 do not drink alcohol. The negative impact it causes is significant and measurable.
You’re doing the right thing. The best you can do is clearly express your opinion, and don’t be with her when and if she does it.
